Villa DrF

In progress

Villa DrF unfolds as an abstract concrete landscape in the village of Boekhoute, where streets rise above the surrounding fields.

Anchored by a solid concrete base, the house is composed of distinct volumes that reveal themselves gradually. From every side, the perspective shifts: masses open, overlap and reframe the space, creating a sequence of moments rather than a single frontal image. The architecture is experienced in movement.

The composition is deliberately layered. Overhangs, recesses and cuts define exterior spaces and create moments of compression and openness. As one moves around the building, relationships between solid and void constantly change, offering a different reading from each angle.

Material continuity reinforces this experience. Concrete surfaces extend seamlessly across volumes, emphasizing the sculptural nature of the architecture. Subtle variations in texture and tone introduce depth and tactility, allowing the building to respond to light and weather over time.

Villa DrF is not an object to be read at once, but a spatial sequence — architecture that unfolds through shifting perspectives.
