Morphological Study
Transformation of a concrete skeleton
Renovation of a concrete structure.
The original skeleton, damaged by concrete decay, is not demolished but transformed — architecturally, structurally, and spatially. The study investigates how new functions can be reintroduced by carefully negotiating the existing structure. What was once a decaying frame becomes a readable architectural skeleton, allowing for light, spatial clarity, and movement.
- Study of the connections between old and new — walls, columns, slabs.
- The central spine-like core defines the circulation and anchors the reorganised layout.
A gentle nod to the greats before us.
